LIAR LIAR
LIAR LIAR
Think you can spot a liar?
LIAR LIAR is a simple, fast-paced bluffing game where you go head-to-head against an opponent in a battle of luck, strategy, and deception. Made for Brakey's Game Jam 2026.2 on theme "Trust No One", this game is a creative take on the Liar's Dice genre.
You and your opponent have a hand of different shapes. Take turns making increasingly risky bets about how many copies of a shape are hidden across both hands. Think your opponent is lying? Call them out.
But be careful. Calling LIAR at the wrong time comes with a penalty, and losing shapes means your hand gets weaker with every round.
The further you go, the harder it becomes to tell when your opponent is bluffing and when they actually have the cards to back it up.
Choose your difficulty, read your opponent, take your chances, and try to survive until the end.
Can you tell when they're lying?
Best Enjoyed in Fullscreen mode.
How to Play
The Basics
Each player starts with a hand of shapes.
Players take turns making a bet about the total number of a particular shape present in both hands.
For example:
3 × Circles
This means you are claiming that there are at least 3 circles among both players' hands.
Raise the Bet
On your turn, you must make a higher bet than the previous one.
You can either:
- Increase the number of shapes.
- Choose a higher-value shape. A shape with higher number of corners has higher value.
Your opponent then has to decide whether to raise the bet or call LIAR.
Call LIAR
If you think your opponent is bluffing, call LIAR.
Both hands will be revealed and the bet will be checked.
- If the bet was true, the person who called LIAR loses a shape.
- If the bet was false, the person who made the bet loses a shape.
Losing a Shape
The player who loses the round randomly loses one shape from their hand.
The game then moves on to the next round.
As the game progresses, your hand becomes smaller, making every decision more important.
Win the Game
Keep your shapes, make smart bets, and catch your opponent bluffing.
The last player standing wins.
Opponents
Vik (Easy)
A more forgiving opponent for players who are learning the game.
Ema (Medium)
Ema makes smarter and more challenging decisions.
Rex (Hard)
Rex plays aggressively and is much harder to read.
Controls
Mouse - All game controls
Click the buttons to choose your bet, raise the amount, change the shape, or call LIAR.
That's it. No complicated controls. Just read the situation and decide when to take the risk.

Cute art style and fun concept! I almost beaten Rex but he clutched it at the end T-T This is the type of game that is challenging but also chill at the same time so it's a good balance overall. Great work!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Interesting Concept.
Interesting game and I loove the character art :) reminds of the webtoon Super Secret. Stoked I won on first game with Rex, but it was close haha
Seems this is riff of Liar's Dice with shapes edges mapping to die dots. But I feel like it breaks down at the end with only 2 players because with so few dice left, whoever happens to roll the higher value can always set the floor to force the opp to bust.
Thank you so much for playing and leaving a comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I tried to make a creative version of Liar's Dice.
So COOL! What a great idea, I kept getting thrashed by Ema and I'm still trying to figure out how to beat her, this is really unique and cute, great job! I have rated!
